Finishes

PK-30’s aluminum framing systems are available in three high-quality, high-durability finishes, listed below.

Clear and black anodized finishes are offered as standard, in stock options. Anodized aluminum offers distinct advantages in terms of durability.  The anodization process creates a protective oxide layer integral to the aluminum, providing high resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and fading over time.

Clear Anodized: Aluminum Clear Anodic Satin Finish:  AAMA 611-20, Class I, A41, 0.7 mils or thicker

Black Anodized: Color Anodic Finish: AAMA 611-20, Class I, A44, 0.7 mils or thicker.

Custom color enamel-baked finish: These are sprayed, baked Duracron enamel coatings sourced from PPG. AAMA 2603-21 with a minimum dry film thickness of 0.8 mils (0.02 MM). PPG Duracron with a gloss range of 20 TO 30.

Hardware

We recognize the important role played by the door hardware in providing our customers with a quality finished product. Fortunately there is a door hardware manufacturer that shares our aesthetic and determination to have design make a difference. That is why we have partnered with FSB USA. FSB has produced door hardware for over a century. FSB’s lever designs are so admired that four have been added to MoMA’s permanent collection. Swing door mortise locks are available in all standard functions. Sliding door mortise locks are available for entry and privacy doors. The sliding pocket door lock has an integral edge pull. FSB locks accept standard North American cylinders. Choose from FSB’s extensive selection of levers, knobs and flush pull trims in various metals and finishes.
