CASE STUDY:
Block 162 – Denver, CO

Project Overview

A Class A Workplace Defined by Clarity and Control

At Block 162, the Patrinely Group envisioned a refined workplace environment aligned with the building’s Class A positioning in downtown Denver. Designed by MARS, the interior architecture emphasizes transparency, disciplined alignment, and material sophistication across conference, amenity, and athletic spaces.

PK-30 was selected to deliver a custom interior glass system capable of preserving openness while introducing controlled privacy where needed.

Challenge

Custom Ribbed Glass Introduces Translucency Without Sacrificing Light

A defining feature of the project was the integration of custom ribbed decorative glass panels within the athletic and wellness areas.

Rather than relying on opaque separation, the design called for translucency — allowing natural light to penetrate while softening direct visibility. The ribbed glass introduces subtle texture and depth, elevating the aesthetic beyond standard glazing while maintaining brightness throughout the space.

In contrast, clear glass was used strategically in conference and amenity areas to preserve full transparency and visual connectivity.

The result is a calibrated balance between openness and privacy, achieved through material performance rather than added partitions.

Solution

One Unified System Across Diverse Conditions

PK-30 delivered 73 linear feet of integrated glass wall and door assemblies, including 7 swing doors and 20 fixed panels.

Despite variation in glazing types, every opening operates within a single, consistent extrusion profile. Horizontal mullion lines align precisely across elevations, reinforcing architectural order and visual continuity throughout the floor.

Custom glazing conditions were incorporated without disrupting system cohesion — maintaining a disciplined modern aesthetic across all spaces.

Results

Amenity spaces feel open and expansive.
Athletic spaces feel private yet illuminated.
Light flows freely while visibility remains intentionally controlled.

Rather than competing with the architecture, the glass system becomes part of it — reinforcing clarity, structure, and refinement within the workplace environment.

 Conclusion — The PK-30 Experience

Block 162 demonstrates PK-30’s ability to integrate customization, precision engineering, and material sophistication within one cohesive system.

By combining decorative ribbed glass and clear glazing within a unified framework, the project achieves both performance and elevated design intent.

For Class A commercial environments that demand clarity, customization, and architectural discipline, PK-30 delivers a solution designed to enhance the space — not simply divide it.
